Review: Lucy’s Planet Happiness
What a nice concept for a blog: looking at life.
Blogging on life philosophies is often very difficult to do without diverging into religion and either starting debates and alienating readers. However, Lucy’s Planet Happinessmanages to write freely and welcomingly without forcing any personal beliefs onto the reader. How very refreshing!
The content of this blog has a distincltly ‘meditating’ feel to it, and the content is quite thought provoking. A personal favourite post of mine is about Conditioning. The posts do not appear to generate many comments, but I think this is because readers leave with a head full of thoughts that they just can’t turn into a coherent sentence.
They layout is simple and elegant, and the lack of colour is largely made up for by the colourful thumbnails at the start of each post. Her most recent posts have adsense instead, which I think is a shame. Perhaps a little tweaking is in order to find a way to put an image next to the adsense block instead of replacing it? It looks like there’s space there, so it’s worth a try. Also, at the moment each image is a thumbnail that can be clicked to view just the picture by itself. That’s not necessary, and is occasionally distracting, so needs to be looked at and fixed. I make that mistake myself from time to time.
Overall I would give this blog an 8 out of 10. It’s very enjoyable, each to read and only requires a tiny bit of tweaking.

Hi Bushie!
Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for you review! It is most encouraging and yes, I intend to blog as I am…which is an ever evolving thing…
You are so right about having images alongside Adsense. In fact, that is exactly what I had wanted but just didn’t know how to do it. As for the images clicking on to their own page - yes, that is a waste of a click and distracting and completed unintended! That’s another thing that I don’t know how to do!!!
The comment about the lack of comments..I have wondered about it myself. I would love for people to leave comments and engage in discussion, but if, as you say, readers find the content so thought-provoking, they are at a loss to say anything, I wonder what can be done???
If you have any suggestions, I would be really grateful. In the meantime, I truly appreciate the time and thought you’ve given my site with your review. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you.
Gratefully, Lucy
